BOOKING CONDITIONS
In these Booking Conditions, “you” and “your” mean all persons named on the booking (including anyone who is added or substituted at a later date). “We,” “us,” and “our” refer to Sail & Beer.
BOOKING PROCESS
- To make a booking, complete our booking form. The lead booker must be at least 18 years old and confirm authorization to act on behalf of all members. All group members must read and agree to these Booking Terms and Conditions. Please note that cabins are booked on a shared basis (dorm-style). If you desire a private double cabin, extra fees will apply, subject to availability.
- Upon submitting the booking form, we will evaluate availability within one business day and send you a booking quotation, payment deadlines, and relevant information. Review the information carefully, and report any inaccuracies within 10 days. After this period, correction costs are your responsibility.
CURRENCY
- Sail & Beer accepts payments in multiple global currencies: GBP£, EUR€, USD$, CAD$, AUD$, ZAR, and NZD$. The currency applied to your booking will be determined by Sail & Beer based on your location. For bank transfers, only Euro (EUR€) payments are accepted, using the exchange rate on the deposit date.
LIFETIME DEPOSIT
- To confirm your booking, a 20% deposit of the total amount is required at the time of booking. Full payment is required for bookings within 60 days of departure. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable.
DUE PAYMENT
- The balance of the holiday cost must reach us at least 60 days before the tour date, as shown on the confirmation invoice. No payment reminders will be sent.
- If you cannot make a due payment on time, contact Sail & Beer for an extension. If granted, you will receive written confirmation.
- Failure to make full and timely payments may lead us to assume you wish to cancel your booking. In such cases, we may retain all deposits paid or due.
CANCELLATION BY YOU
- Cancellations must be made in writing by the lead booker and acknowledged by Sail & Beer. Cancellation charges will apply based on the date we receive written notification:
- Within 60 – 31 days of departure: 50% of the total amount
- Within 30 – 0 days of departure: 100% of the total amount
- Reservations made using the “Grab and pay” offer are non-refundable once full payment is made.
- Reservations paid in full before the mandatory date (60 days before arrival) are non-refundable.
- No local taxes will be retained for bookings after full payment.
- No refunds for wholly or partly used tickets, vouchers, accommodation reservations, or unused services. Leaving the tour at any time does not result in any refund.
- Depending on the reason for cancellation, you may be able to reclaim cancellation charges through your own insurance policy.
CHANGE BY YOU
- Requests to change your booking should be sent via email. While we will attempt to accommodate changes, we cannot guarantee it. Changing holiday dates is treated as a cancellation and rebooking.
- If any group member can no longer participate, notify us by email.
CANCELLATION/CHANGES OF A TOUR BY SAIL & BEER
- Sail & Beer may change or correct itineraries and bookings up to 24 hours in advance. Changes to vessel names, cabin types, or daily activities prior to departure are not considered major changes.
- Deviations from planned itineraries may occur due to weather conditions. Substituting one port for another or removing a port is considered a minor change.
- Major changes, if needed, will be communicated to you as soon as possible. You may accept the amended arrangements, choose an alternative tour, or cancel for a full refund.
- Compensation may be offered based on the time period and reason for cancellation or change.
- Compensation for cancellations or major changes is based on specific time periods.
FORCE MAJEURE
- Sail & Beer is not liable for disruptions or damages caused by unforeseeable or unavoidable acts, omissions, or force majeure events (e.g., extreme weather conditions).
TRAVEL INSURANCE
- Travelers are responsible for arranging suitable travel insurance. Sail & Beer does not provide insurance but recommends using reputable providers.
GROUND AND AIR TRANSPORT TRANSFERS
- Your booking does not include airport transfers or flight transfers. We can assist with travel arrangements, but these are separate from your tour.
BEHAVIOR
- Travelers are expected to behave courteously and moderately. Sail & Beer reserves the right to terminate the tour for disruptive behavior.
SUPPLIERS’ TERMS
- Local suppliers’ terms and conditions apply to the services provided in the destination country. These terms can be provided upon request.
PASSPORTS VISAS AND HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
- Check necessary travel documents, including passports, visas, and health requirements, before departure. It is your responsibility to meet these requirements.
COMPLAINTS
- If you have a complaint during your tour, inform our crew immediately. If the issue is unresolved, submit a written complaint to Sail & Beer within 30 days of tour completion.
